Book Review #1 - The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

I was intrigued by Hosseini’s captivating voice in his quietly powerful novel The Kite Runner. It fulfills the promise of fiction and curiosity about the world around us, speaking truth as the lessons of history resounds the years. Themes are universal: family relationships, particularly father and son; the cost of disloyalty humanity of a rigid class system; and the horrific tragedies and pains of war.

Teens get a view of another’s life beyond the boundaries of their own nation and catch a glimpse of what harshness surrounds individuals in lands daunted by chaos. It empowers them to be more globally connected.
Come by and be mesmerized by the emotion of a culture’s diverse lifestyle.
